U.S. Congressman and labor elected official Donald Norcross from IBEW 351, joined with several lawmakers on Capitol Hill yesterday to introduce a bill that would raise the federal wage from the current level of $7.25 to $15.00 an hour by 2024 and index the minimum wage to the median wage starting in 2025.

HPAE, a union of healthcare professionals in New Jersey, represents 120 addiction treatment workers at AAC/Sunrise House, an in-patient addiction treatment center in Lafayette, NJ. HPAE has notified the employer of the workers’ intent to conduct a three day Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike at the facility if an agreement is not reached by May 24, 2017, at 7:00 a.m.
