Fair Contract – Solidarity Rally: Join AFSCME, District 1199J, & IUOE 68 to Demand a Fair Contract and Worker Justice at Jersey City Medical Center

The injustice being done to our brothers and sisters at Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC) is abhorrent and union busting at its worst. AFSCME, District 1199J, and IUOE 68 combined represent hundreds of professional, administrative, maintenance, service and emergency personnel at JCMC. Despite the unions’ good-faith bargaining, management has responded by launching a campaign of misinformation and intimidation in coordination with the known union busting firm Yessin & Associates.

An informational picket/solidarity rally is scheduled for the following place and time. Join us as we stand up to the egregious actions of management and demand JCMC to return to the bargaining table in good-faith. Please CLICK HERE for a rally flier.

Date:
Wednesday, April 24, 2013

Time:
3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Place:
Outside Jersey City Medical Center
355 Grand Street
Jersey City, NJ 07302

Management has demanded devastating changes to all collective bargaining agreements including elimination of a paid half-hour for lunch; reduction in sick days and holidays; pay for performance bonuses instead of across-the-board wage increases; weakening of seniority; elimination of severance pay; the right to change an employee’s hours, days, and shifts without notice; and no guarantee of full-time work.

Be there to support our union brothers and sisters and to send a message that if JCMC wants to pick a fight with the union they have to face all the unions. Don’t forget to wear your union colors and show your union pride!
